Job Scope:
As the CEO, you will be responsible for the company’s strategic direction, operations, and overall management. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leadership & Strategy: Lead the company in formulating and executing business strategies aligned with our long-term goals and market dynamics.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison with key external stakeholders, including trustee companies, the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC), business partners, and other regulatory bodies.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, industry standards, and governance practices. Collaborate with legal, financial, and compliance teams to maintain full regulatory compliance.
- Corporate Development: Oversee investments, mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships. Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, strategic partners, and stakeholders.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor financial performance, guide investments, and ensure sound financial management practices.
- Shariah Compliance (if applicable): Ensure operations and investments align with Shariah principles where applicable, in coordination with the internal Shariah advisory board.
Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Educational Background: Degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields. Professional certifications in Finance, Accounting, or Legal practice are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in executive roles, especially in investment holding companies or financial institutions.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of investment management, corporate governance, regulatory frameworks, and compliance in Malaysia, particularly those set by the Securities Commission Malaysia.
- Legal, Finance, or Shariah Expertise: Experience in legal, financial, or Shariah-compliant environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of local regulations and ability to collaborate with legal and compliance teams are essential.
- Communication & Negotiation Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with stakeholders, regulators, and partners. Strong negotiation skills for favorable outcomes.
- Strategic & Visionary Leadership: Ability to develop and execute strategies that promote growth and manage risks effectively.
- Ethical & Transparent: Uphold the highest standards of integrity and transparency in all dealings.
