Job Description

Responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials and services for the company. This includes conducting market research, negotiating contracts and lead times with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and ensuring that all orders are delivered on time and within budget. Buyers play a vital role in the company's supply chain, helping to ensure that the company has the necessary materials and resources to operate efficiently and effectively.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

1. Work with suppliers to expedite, de-expedite, and cancel transactions that provide optimal total value for the company.
2. Manage and foster relationships with the supply base and help drive resolutions to conflicts including quality, cost, delivery, and lead time issues.
3. Participate in activities related to new supplier assessments, disengagements, performance improvement plans, formal supplier reviews, and cost reduction opportunities.
4. Perform additional assignments as needed based on business requirements.

• An individual who executes commodity purchase strategies through purchase requisitions.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Ability to learn new technologies and processes related to the supply chain.
• Proficiency in computer skills related to ERP technologies.
• Develop expertise in disciplines such as Excel, Oracle, Agile, APS, Rapid Response (RR), Kinaxis, etc.
• Knowledge of business fundamentals related to materials management and finance.
• Ability to work positively with the supply base and internal teams to drive collaborative supply chain solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills, effective communication skills, and a willingness to learn new technologies and processes.
• Foster a continuous learning environment to enhance work system efficiency and effectiveness.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related discipline.
• More than 2 years of relevant experience, including internships.
