ABOUT YOUR ROLE

Avery Dennison is seeking an EDI Analyst with Babelway knowledge in Order to Cash and Procure to Pay process areas to join our Information Technology team. This position requires working with stakeholders in European time zones but can be located remotely.

You will be a member of a global IT organization and a key enabler for our Customer Service, Sales, and Procurement teams to meet automation objectives, support onboarding of new EDI integrations, maintain established connections, and phase out legacy technology. Understanding the business strategy for EDI and playing a key role in its implementation are essential. We value a customer-focused, business-oriented approach, experience with Babelway platform configuration, project experience, and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders across geographies.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

Collaboration and Technical Expertise:

• Develop, implement, and maintain protocols and methodologies for EDI integration with trading partners.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to ensure optimal performance.

Problem Solving and Decision Making:

• Identify and address technical challenges effectively.
• Make independent decisions impacting project timelines and IT operations.

Communication and Teamwork:

• Communicate technical information clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate within a team, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues.

Programming and Technical Skills:

• Modify and enhance existing trading partner setups and translations.
• Investigate data-related failures.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Document processes, procedures, and solutions.
• Prepare and present technical reports and insights.

WHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 6+ years in IT development/support or systems administration.

Experience:

• Experience with retail or manufacturing industries is a plus.
• Proven experience with Babelway for integrating with trading partners.
• Familiarity with formats like X12, JSON, XML, CSV, flat files, Edifact, etc.
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as AS2, VAN, APIs, SFTP.
• Regex and XPath expertise required.
• Understanding of other EDI structures/protocols is a bonus.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Project experience preferred.
