Job Description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Design, develop, test, and deploy Android applications in accordance with requirements and UI/UX design specifications.
2. Contribute as an individual engineer on implementing new features or enhancing existing features for the product.
3. Participate in all aspects of the product development process including requirement definition, design, implementation, and testing.
4. Analyze software requirements to determine the feasibility of design within quality assurance, time, and cost constraints.
5. Coordinate and participate in software design and code review.
6. Create and execute unit, integration, and system tests.
7. Collaborate with front-end and testing teams to ensure successful feature deployment.
8. Work in a multi-site worldwide development environment with intra-group and inter-group teamwork.
9. Meet project deliverables and timelines in a dynamic environment.
10. Adhere to team performance and quality metrics.
11. Collect and analyze data affecting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
12. Develop intellectual property for the company.
13. Contribute to improving existing software development processes.

Basic Requirements

• Master’s / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Telecommunications / Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Preferably 2 - 5 years of experience in software development.
• Strong technical skills, open to fresh graduates or entry-level applicants.
• Experience in real-time embedded software development for communication devices or consumer products is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Android Native languages Java and Kotlin.
• Solid understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and related tools.
• Knowledge of mobile architecture patterns (MVP, MVVM).
• Knowledge of AOSP & Customizations.
• Knowledge/Experience with LTE / DMR specifications is a plus.
• Strong debugging and analytical skills.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across teams.
• Flexibility to accommodate short notice work arrangements.
• Willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang.
