This role acts as a strategic HR Business Partner responsible for aligning mid- and long-term strategies and actions to achieve business and functional ambitions for Chanel Malaysia, while advancing the overall people agenda for the House. The individual provides consulting and advisory services to strategically plan and proactively address organization, people, and talent needs, aiming to strengthen Chanel’s workforce capabilities and agility to meet evolving business requirements.

In a constantly changing landscape, the individual should anticipate future needs and lead change effectively; also, ensure that Chanel sources, nurtures, and engages top talents and leaders to realize Chanel's priorities. As an effective HR Business Partner, the individual should represent business needs, galvanize stakeholders’ diverse perspectives, and foster collaboration to derive optimal solutions. The role involves orchestrating expertise within the People & Organisation function to support the delivery of HR solutions for maximum human resources performance and optimal business outcomes.

Act as a trusted advisor, thought partner, and sounding board to senior stakeholders and teams to address business and people challenges:

  1. Translate vision and strategies into action, from conception to completion, with a focus on people, incorporating innovation, agile organization design, and new ways of working.
  2. Provide leadership in change management, guiding organization evolution and new ways of working.
  3. Champion workforce planning and talent pipelining, especially for office and retail populations, in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
  4. Share market insights and internal data trends to facilitate informed decision-making regarding people.

Key Responsibilities:

STRATEGIC FOCUS:

Strategic Workforce Planning, Organization Design, and Change Management

  1. Consult with market leaders and subject matter experts to project future skills demand and supply, focusing on retail needs.
  2. Partner with leaders to develop and define people strategies and workforce plans aligned with business priorities for the next 3-5 years.
  3. Engage senior management and the General Manager, People & Organisation, to support and validate plans considering total market and overall priorities.
  4. Ensure delivery and periodic review of workforce plans, adjusting as necessary.
  5. Facilitate organization design evolution and development to deliver business vision effectively.
  6. Drive improvements in organization design for better ROI and effectiveness.
  7. Define change management plans and mobilize resources to execute them effectively.
