Job description

Our client located in Senai, Johor, Malaysia, is part of a global company that has been developing, manufacturing, and supplying plastic products since 1944. With 1,800 employees and production sites across Sweden, Germany, the UK, Poland, Turkey, Malaysia, and China, they provide plastic injection moulding services and contract manufacturing solutions for markets including business machines, professional appliances, industrial products, home automation, and medical solutions. They have been a wholly owned subsidiary of Nordstjernan since 2010.

Job Purpose:

To lead and coordinate Project team on the effective introduction and on time delivery of customer programs (NPI), to manage all program related tasks new and existing, to continually improve process capability, delivery of services, provided to all our customers both internal and external, ensuring adherence to all company procedures.

Main Success Criteria:

Project management ensuring on time and cost effective implementation of customer programs, all of which should be in accordance with company procedures, focus on continuous improvement and cost reduction. Departmental KPI and PI are analyzed at all times and acted upon.

HSE Basic Criteria:

· Be responsible for own health and safety and others who may be affected by his/her actions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

HSE:

Design or introduce new product or process or equipment with full HSE risk assessment. Take actions to reduce HSE impact in any change management to current process.

Project Management:

To effectively manage new projects from customer concept to manufacturing handover through APQP management.

• Quality requirements.

Liase with customer at all times, focusing on all project related issues.

Quality & HSE Systems:

To liaise with quality department & HSE engineer on specific related tasks, adherence to systems.

Procedural Compliance:

Ensure all documents and maintenance of records is up to date at all times.

To continually improve our controls, systems and performance both internal and external.

Interaction:

Management Team: Monthly

Learning Description:

The job holder will have the opportunity to learn:

• Project management process and methodology for new product launch project, including Time Management, Prioritize and Planning.
• Injection molding and assembly process.
• Quality system requirement for the required market.

Others:

• The person should have drive, initiative, and attention to detail, with a clear focus on results. Communication, oral and written skills should be good, with teamwork spirit.
• With experience as a process engineer in handling moulds and machine set-up.
• Possesses an understanding of moulding process parameter set-up, troubleshooting, and tooling.

Education/ Formal Qualifications:

Bachelor degree or above, major in engineering or manufacturing.

Experience:

Above 6 years related working experience in manufacturing company; having knowledge of injection molding.

• Quality System and Compliance Requirement: Good knowledge of quality systems ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001, ISO13485.
• Engineering/Quality Tools: Good Knowledge and direct experience with quality tools (i.e. APQP, PPAP, FMEA).
• Analytical problem solving: Predict problems, good ability to find out the root cause and solve it.
• Interpersonal skills: Can work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
• Time management: Well planned work according to the priority of importance. On time delivery of new projects.
• Constant improvement concept: Good constant improvement concept and Lean knowledge.
• English: Good command of English both in speaking and writing.

Salary Range:

RM5000-RM9000

Petrol RM300, Mobile RM100, Meal RM4/per working day.
