About The Role
As a CBRE Facilities Supervisor, you will supervise the team that coordinates with clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure work orders are completed. You will also be responsible for creating and implementing health, safety, and environmental programs for clients.
This role is part of the Facilities Management area, focusing on asset operations and supporting Property Managers with repairs and investment plans. It also involves the Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) functions, responsible for programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and manage the team’s daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
- Serve as the point of contact for escalated communications between landlords, tenants, and service providers, ensuring procedures, policies, and reporting formats are understood and implemented.
- Arrange for regular maintenance of equipment.
- Review data from work order reports, create, and present performance and progress reports to management, and suggest efficiency improvements.
- Design and oversee the cleaning and disinfecting schedules for the building.
- Conduct market research, compare costs and benefits, and evaluate new vendors.
- Track facility expenses, both regular and ad-hoc.
- Resolve complex problems and identify appropriate approaches to achieve team objectives.
- Establish new techniques to meet team goals.
- Impact team and related team objectives positively.
- Ensure personal and team outcomes align with customer objectives.
- Lead by example, model CBRE RISE values, guide the team through practices and procedures, and build consensus.
- Assist in managing HSE programs and initiatives to meet regulatory and client requirements.
- Evaluate existing programs and suggest necessary changes.
- Monitor injury, illness, and incident-related performance.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for staff and internal customers.
- Oversee plans, playbooks, and procedures, ensuring they are current and effectively implemented.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs while improving service quality and respond to customer concerns regarding HSE matters.
What You’ll Need- High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably managing an industrial site.
- Must possess at least an OSH Coordinator certificate.
- Prior management or supervisory experience is preferred.
- In-depth understanding of processes, procedures, systems, within own job function, and basic knowledge of related functions.
- Ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information clearly.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Excellent organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Own transport and willingness to travel.
