Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Finance Executive to join our Finance Team in Kota Damansara. The primary focus of this role is managing the company’s Accounts Payable (AP) function. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and communicate effectively with vendors. This is a hands-on role requiring a strong understanding of financial operations and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage the full set of accounts, focusing on Accounts Payable and bank reconciliation.
  2. Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings.
  3. Supervise cash flow and manage financial risks to maintain sufficient operational funds.
  4. Assist in data gathering and analysis of financial statements.
  5. Prepare monthly financial reports.
  6. Support the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
  7. Assist in preparing the annual report and audit documentation.
  8. Handle ad hoc assignments and other finance-related tasks.
  9. Maintain and update financial records, documents, and accounting systems.
  10. Collaborate with internal teams, including executives and managers.
  11. Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
  2. Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  3. Proficient in written and spoken English.
  4. Strong multitasking and time management skills.
  5. Computer literate, with solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  6. Experience with QuickBooks is an advantage.
  7. Sound understanding of bookkeeping and vendor payment processes (Accounts Payable).
  8. Familiarity with the Malaysian tax system.
  9. Experience in general ledger accounting is preferred.
  10. Strong knowledge of financial procedures and business processes.
  11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  12. Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to perform under pressure.
  13. Willing to travel and work on-site in Kota Damansara.
