Costing Analyst / Senior Costing Analyst

  • Day-to-day administration of the Costing Section.
  • Maintain and prepare costing reports for monthly financial results reporting.
  • Maintain inventory sub-ledger and reconcile it to the General Ledger for statutory and SOX reporting purposes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present, on a timely basis, actual vs. budget analyses, accurate forecasts, variance reports, overhead analysis, and manufacturing reports.
  • Prepare costing of new products and liaise with Engineering and Document Control to ensure BOM accuracy.
  • Assist in yearly budget preparation, half-yearly forecasting, and compilation of the master budget with inputs from all departments.
  • Monitor and track cost-saving projects.
  • Supervise and assist in managing the daily administrative functions of the section, including providing data for various reports.
  • Develop ABC method for store’s daily count, work with store on accuracy improvements, and organize yearly PI count.
  • Compile and analyze quarterly E&O reports to identify slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
  • Assist in validating costing data for ad hoc and Six Sigma projects.
  • Supervise and oversee the maintenance of the inventory sub-ledger and prepare monthly reconciliations to the GL.
  • Present and share financial reports, departmental expenses, and other relevant data with the operation team monthly.
  • Prepare documentation for external audits and act as an internal auditor for SOX compliance and audits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking, or equivalent.
  • Required languages: Bahasa Malaysia, English.
  • At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
