Job Title: Finance Executive

This is a basic accounting position typically occupied by a recent graduate or an employee with experience in bookkeeping. It is an entry-level role requiring an understanding of accounting fundamentals and principles, along with good bookkeeping practices. The role involves coordinating daily financial operations within assigned regions.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Perform general or cost accounting activities, understanding both the reasons and methods behind tasks.
  2. Apply accounting techniques and standard practices to classify and record financial transactions.
  3. Prepare journal entries, verify supporting documentation, and carry out defined steps in cost accounting analysis.
  4. Ensure work is accurate through ongoing review and at completion.
  5. Prepare reports from statistical and financial data to provide management with timely and accurate information.
  6. Maintain ledgers, statements, and accounts, taking appropriate actions to secure payments and resolve discrepancies.
  7. Handle more technical troubleshooting related to work managed by less experienced clerks.
  8. Communicate with external customers or suppliers to resolve non-routine queries and issues.
  9. Provide technical guidance and training support to less senior account clerks.
  10. Research background materials, including relevant economic and financial data.
  11. Assess the financial impact of opportunities or issues, including ROI and payback periods for investments or projects.
  12. Assist in developing long-term financial forecasts and budgets.
  13. Support report preparation as needed.

Formal Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in finance and accounting.

  • Experience in multi-unit environments preferred.
  • High standards of accuracy and organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
