Job summary

Lattice Semiconductor in Malaysia is seeking an EDA CAD Engineer Intern. In this role, you will design and develop algorithms and scripts to enhance EDA workflows while collaborating with engineering teams. An ideal candidate is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and has a basic understanding of digital design concepts.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop in‑house algorithms, scripts, and tools to support design activities and customize EDA solutions.
• Create and maintain automation scripts using Python, UNIX Shell, and TCL to enhance EDA CAD workflows.
• Leverage AI/ML tools and techniques to improve productivity, optimize workflows, and support task execution.
• Execute assigned tasks efficiently while meeting defined timelines.
• Work collaboratively with cross‑functional engineering teams to support project goals.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of:
  • Digital design and verification
  • Physical layout concepts
  • VLSI design flow
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
