Key Job Duties & Responsibilities

1. Lead the newly established US GAAP Shared Services team.
2. Complete the budget and forecast requirements for the Corporate Shared Services entity in Malaysia.
3. Assist the Corporate Shared Services leadership in transferring work from other global locations to the US GAAP Shared Services team.
4. Lead the team through the monthly close process, ensuring it is completed timely and accurately.
5. Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations prepared by the team.
6. Ensure team compliance with all applicable global policies, including those in the Coherent Controllers Manual.
7. Provide support to the global Operations Controllers, including reporting and analysis as requested.
8. Partner with the leadership of the Transactional Accounting Center of Excellence in Ipoh, MY to drive improvements and create efficiencies.
9. Lead special projects as assigned by the Corporate Shared Services leadership.
10. Drive team engagement and ensure performance standards are met.

Skills And Qualifications

1. Degree in Accounting or Professional Certificate equivalent.
2. Preferred 4-6 years of management experience in corporate finance.
3. Ability to work under minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
4. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Effective communication skills with international partners.
6. Flexibility to meet outside of scheduled work hours, reporting directly to the Director of Global Shared Service in the US.
7. Experience with ERP software, with Oracle E-Business Suite preferred.
