Supply Chain Manager (Logistics / Warehouse / Customs Specialist)
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize our logistics, warehouse, and customs operations. This role is essential to ensure smooth end-to-end supply chain processes, full regulatory compliance, and high-performance standards across all areas of responsibility.
Core Competencies:
- Logistics Optimization: Strategically plan and manage logistics operations to ensure efficient, cost-effective transportation and distribution.
- Private Bonded Warehouse Management: Oversee bonded warehouse operations to ensure optimal storage utilization, inventory accuracy, and efficient order fulfillment.
- Inventory Control: Implement and maintain robust inventory control processes to achieve optimal stock levels while minimizing waste and obsolescence.
- Supplier and Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with logistics providers, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely and reliable deliveries.
- Customs Compliance: Ensure full compliance with customs regulations, manage bonded warehouse documentation, and coordinate audits and monthly reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage logistics operations to optimize delivery performance, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Oversee warehouse functions including storage, inventory accuracy, and timely order dispatch.
- Monitor and analyze logistics and warehouse KPIs; implement improvement initiatives where needed.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and operational standards in warehouse and logistics operations.
- Manage all customs clearance processes for imports and exports, including documentation, classification, and duty calculation.
- Oversee the Private Bonded Warehouse operations, including license renewals, usage tracking, and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain accurate, auditable records of bonded warehouse transactions and customs-related documentation.
- Coordinate with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and internal departments to ensure smooth clearance processes.
- Lead customs audits; prepare and submit necessary documentation while addressing findings professionally.
- Provide guidance and training on customs processes and bonded warehouse management to internal teams.
- Prepare and submit timely reports on customs duties, tax exemptions, bonded warehouse usage, and compliance updates.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in logistics, warehouse operations, and customs compliance.
- Proficient in warehouse management systems (e.g., NAVISION, WMS) and logistics software.
- Strong understanding of Malaysian customs regulations and Private Bonded Warehouse procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in customs declaration, duty calculation, and audit handling.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.
