Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Responsibility for all internal and external communications in Malaysia.

In your new role, you will:

1. Manage all internal and external communications in Malaysia, including strategic planning, conception, and management of local corporate communication activities, media relations, social media, event management (trade fairs, internal events), and internal site communication. Support senior executives of the market organization. Coordinate closely with the Communications Lead Singapore.
2. Report functionally to the 'Head of Operations Communications' at CP and legally to the Managing Director of Infineon Kulim.
3. Work with local stakeholders such as media, associations, business organizations, and authorities to ensure professional communication tailored to various audiences (customers, media, employees, authorities).
4. Collaborate with global CP functions to ensure consistent implementation of the global communication strategy, activities, and brand experience onsite.
5. Develop yearly communication plans based on global strategy, considering local market needs. Provide executive communication support for senior leadership in Malaysia. Manage local events and communication projects.
6. Manage media relations, including maintaining relationships with key local media, adapting and distributing trade press articles and releases, media pitching, and supporting global media briefings. Act as company spokesperson.
7. Design and implement internal communication activities focused on regional needs, aligning with global people and transformation projects.
8. Prepare and facilitate communication with public authorities in Malaysia, such as site visits.
9. Set clear KPIs to measure goals and results, making contributions visible and quantifiable, aligned with the customer journey.
10. Manage regional budgets allocated from local and global sources.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience in integrated, holistic communications functions in corporate communications or PR agencies.
• Experience working in international organizations.
• Strong network within Malaysia.
• Leadership and project management skills.
• Resilient under stress and collaborative.
• Experience working with senior leadership and managing multiple stakeholders.
