About the job: Assistant Manager - Accounts
General Summary:
The Assistant Manager of Accounts is responsible for overseeing group consolidation financial reports, subsidiary company accounts, and accounts for overseas sales offices.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly group consolidation financial reports, including forecast P&L, financial statements, and annual budgets.
- Prepare audited financial statements for the holding company and manage the year-end audit process.
- Prepare monthly financial reports for overseas subsidiaries, including forecast P&L, financial statements, and budgets.
- Review audited financial statements of subsidiaries.
- Monitor and oversee finance functions of overseas regional and country offices.
- Analyze and review gross profit and net profit margins for regional and country offices, and generate related financial analysis reports.
- Manage customer credit reviews, accounts receivable control, and monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with local taxation and accounting standards in respective countries.
- Handle treasury functions for all company accounts.
- Manage BNM reporting for group reporting requirements.
- Oversee company insurance matters.
- Assist with other accounting functions as required by the Head of Department (HOD).
- The company may amend or add responsibilities as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience handling full set accounts, managing overseas sales office finance functions, and preparing group consolidation accounts.
- High integrity with strong analytical, communication, and responsibility skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, capable of multitasking, and performance-driven.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; experience with ERP systems like JDE is preferred.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in Accountancy or equivalent.
- Experience in manufacturing-related environments is preferred.
- Chinese-speaking candidates are preferred and must be willing to work in Kajang, Selangor (a fixed travel allowance will be provided).
