A leading company in the oil and gas sector is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer. The role involves solving instrumentation problems, performing detailed design engineering, and providing technical support. Candidates should have a relevant engineering degree and experience in offshore projects, with knowledge of specific software tools. Job Overview:
The Instrumentation & Controls Engineer applies their conceptual knowledge of instrumentation and controls and with a moderate level of guidance and direction from colleagues and leadership, is responsible for solving a range of straightforward instrumentation and controls problems. They will be responsible for analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures, as well as building knowledge of the company, processes, and customers. The Instrumentation & Controls Engineer understands key business drivers and applies this knowledge to solve problems in straightforward situations through analysis of possible solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedents.
Candidate should be an engineering graduate in Instrumentation/Electrical/Mechanical discipline and should have about five years experience in offshore Oil and Gas projects. Knowledge of MS Office Suite including Excel and Word is a must. Familiarity with instrumentation software tools such as Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI),AVEVA Instrumenation and InstruCalc is desirable.
