Job description

As the Human Resources Manager at Eastern Suntech Engineering & Construction Sdn Bhd, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's talent strategy and fostering a positive, engaged workforce. This full-time position is based in Sungai Petani, Kedah, and will see you leading the HR function to drive the company's growth and success.

What you'll be doing
  1. Overseeing the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations.
  2. Developing and implementing HR policies, processes, and initiatives that align with the company's business objectives.
  3. Providing strategic HR advice and support to the management team.
  4. Ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
  5. Overseeing the administration of employee compensation and benefits programs.
  6. Identifying training needs and creating development programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
  7. Promoting a positive, inclusive, and productive work culture.
  8. Collaborating with department heads to address talent management needs.
  9. Developing, monitoring, and analyzing key HR metrics and KPIs to measure HR initiatives' effectiveness.
  10. Aligning HR strategies with organizational objectives to support business success.
  11. Managing employment matters related to foreign workers, including work permits, medical checkups, and insurance.
  12. Leading and mentoring the HR team to deliver exceptional service.
What we're looking for
  1. Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a human resources managerial role or head of department, preferably within the construction or engineering industry.
  2. Excellent knowledge of HR best practices, employment legislation, and talent management strategies.
  3. Proven track record of developing and implementing effective HR policies and initiatives.
  4. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  5. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  6. Well-versed in the Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967, Socso, EPF, and other statutory bodies.
  7. Proficient in HR information systems and data analysis.
  8. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
