Job description

A manufacturing engineering manager is responsible for the overall function of the manufacturing processes for a company. In this role, you need to lead the Manufacturing Engineering Department, which includes New Product Introduction, new line setup, product transfer, process development and optimization, continuous improvement, engineering change control, etc.

What You Will Do
  1. Lead the Manufacturing Engineering Department, which includes New Product Introduction, new line setup, product transfer, process development and optimization, continuous improvement, engineering change control, etc.
  2. Work with product engineers/tooling team to define manufacturing processes.
  3. Work with all relevant functions to ensure manufacturing line readiness.
  4. Provide ME support to operations for smooth day-to-day manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  5. Improve OEE (Operation Efficiency) metrics such as uptime, throughput, and scrap rate.
  6. Identify and drive OPEX labor savings projects to support annual cost savings.
  7. Facilitate Kaizen events and other Lean activities for continuous improvement.
  8. Support new business pursuits by participating in the design phase and leading manufacturing during the Product Development Process (Phase/Gate).
  9. Drive standardization of manufacturing processes.
  10. Lead automation initiatives for new and existing programs.
  11. Be responsible for team capability growth through training and coaching.
  12. Define the manufacturing process technology roadmap.
  13. Manage conflicts between customer program execution and standard product capability growth.
  14. Define and regularly review ME KPIs.
  15. Perform other assigned tasks.
We Are Looking For
  1. Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or automation.
  2. Strong communication skills and excellent oral and written English skills.
  3. 10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in CNC precision parts, machining, and electro-mechanical assembly environments.
  4. 5+ years of NPI and engineering management experience, including leading teams.
  5. Expertise with Lean / Six Sigma Manufacturing, 5S, and Root Cause Analysis.
  6. Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO9001, QS9000, or IATF16949.
  7. Motor manufacturing experience is a plus.
