Job description

As a vital team member of the finance team, an Accounts Executive job description should include:

  1. Process and review all vendor invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment, and manage supplier aging.
  2. Process sales invoices and manage customer aging.
  3. Process and maintain general ledger accounts and other statutory payments.
  4. Prepare and maintain Fixed Assets schedule.
  5. Prepare full sets of accounts, including trial balance, bank reconciliation, balance sheet, Statement of Profit & Loss, and Financial Statements.
  6. Prepare tax computations.
  7. Prepare forecast and budget reports.
  8. Ensure all accounting systems, practices, controls, and procedures comply with company policy.
  9. Ensure all accounting records are properly updated and reconciled in the accounting system.
  10. Ensure all accounting documents and records are properly filed and maintained.
  11. Liaise with internal and external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, legal advisors, and bankers.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned by management from time to time.

Requirements:

  1. Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in finance, accountancy, ACCA, or equivalent.
  2. Required languages: Bahasa Malaysia, English.
  3. At least 4-5 years of working experience in finance/accounting.
  4. Committed, analytical, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  5. Good communication and interpersonal skills, meticulous, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  6. A team player with a high degree of honesty and integrity.
  7. Able to start immediately is an advantage.
