As a vital team member of the finance team, an Accounts Executive job description should include:
- Process and review all vendor invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment, and manage supplier aging.
- Process sales invoices and manage customer aging.
- Process and maintain general ledger accounts and other statutory payments.
- Prepare and maintain Fixed Assets schedule.
- Prepare full sets of accounts, including trial balance, bank reconciliation, balance sheet, Statement of Profit & Loss, and Financial Statements.
- Prepare tax computations.
- Prepare forecast and budget reports.
- Ensure all accounting systems, practices, controls, and procedures comply with company policy.
- Ensure all accounting records are properly updated and reconciled in the accounting system.
- Ensure all accounting documents and records are properly filed and maintained.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, legal advisors, and bankers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management from time to time.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in finance, accountancy, ACCA, or equivalent.
- Required languages: Bahasa Malaysia, English.
- At least 4-5 years of working experience in finance/accounting.
- Committed, analytical, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, meticulous, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A team player with a high degree of honesty and integrity.
- Able to start immediately is an advantage.
