Key Account Executive / Senior Executive / AM

Join Our Team as a Key Account Executive / Senior Executive / Assistant Manager (FMCG)!

Are you ready to take charge of strategic partnerships and make a real impact in the CVS & VD channel? We’re looking for a dynamic and driven individual to lead the way in managing our high-value key accounts—including 7-Eleven, My News, Family Mart, Eco-shop, and Ninso.

In this pivotal role, you’ll be the face of our brand to key clients, responsible for accelerating sales, optimizing inventory, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. You'll collaborate closely with internal teams to meet business goals and build lasting relationships that drive loyalty and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients at multiple levels within their organizations.
  2. Conduct regular store visits and communication touchpoints to ensure proactive engagement and support.
  3. Develop tailored sales plans for each key account based on individual client needs and company objectives.
  4. Execute promotional activities and ensure alignment with brand strategies and seasonal campaigns.
  5. Identify potential business opportunities and open trading accounts with these customers.
  6. Prepare sales decks and negotiate better terms to list our products in retail clients.
  7. Track monthly sales results and collaborate with internal teams to meet or exceed targets.
  8. Coordinate with HQ and Finance to maintain healthy stock levels across all points of sale.
  9. Monitor sell-through rates and implement timely replenishments to avoid out-of-stock or overstock situations.
  10. Work with HQ to negotiate pricing, trade terms, and contract renewals with clients to ensure profitability.
  11. Understand customer feedback, operational challenges, and emerging needs to propose new business solutions.
  12. Regularly track performance metrics, analyze results, and suggest actionable improvements.
  13. Provide timely reports and insights to management on sales progress and client updates.
  14. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide on-the-ground support.
  15. Stay updated on market developments, trends, and competitor activities to inform business strategies.
  16. Monitor the financial health of clients and report any unusual or concerning behavior to HQ and Finance promptly.
  17. Work closely with Marketing, Operations, and Product Development teams to ensure seamless delivery and execution.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the FMCG industry.
  • Proven experience in managing key accounts and driving retail sales performance.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Knowledge of the Malaysian retail landscape and relevant industry insights.
  • Willingness to travel locally for store visits and client meetings.
