Qualifications

  • Participate in discussions with the business / program managers on understanding the scope of work, rules, and procedures required to prepare documentation detailing the solution for the given business needs.
  • Responsible for filtering the needs and wants of a requirement, including functional and non-functional requirements; refine the varying messages as well as the requirements of the project stakeholders into a consistent single vision.
  • Bring innovation during solutioning in the form of recommendations that improve the process through simplification.
  • Provide support on project execution such as preparing user requirements, quality control, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely delivery of the project.
  • Adjudicate problem-solving between stakeholders; offer technical expertise to identify fact-based solutions.
  • Prepare test requirements to ensure they are comprehensive and meet the User Acceptance Test (UAT) needs.
  • Review and sign off solution documents, UAT plans, and scenarios prepared by the business / program management teams within stipulated timelines.
  • Conduct peer reviews on business solutions. Liaise with stakeholders to ensure test environments and specific UAT requirements are set up for test execution.
  • Support the creation of test data in the test environment.
  • Execute test scripts, monitor, and record test results against business expectations according to test objectives.
  • Ensure all test outputs, Production Issue Reports (PIR), test results, and reports are well documented, able to spot errors during UAT, and raise proper PIRs.
  • Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to resolve UAT defects.
  • Support incoming task assessment and assist in assigning tasks to team members.
  • Report UAT progress and highlight key risks and issues.
  • Provide UAT clearance reports after ensuring all functionalities are tested, defects documented, impacts assessed, and resolutions provided.
  • Provide efficient technical support and guidance to production users and relevant parties.
  • Coordinate with Business / Program Management teams to obtain UAT signoff.
  • Demonstrate logical and creative thinking; provide suggestions and recommendations.
  • Review and authorize documentation prepared by Associates / Senior Associates.
  • Mentor Associates / Senior Associates in Business Analysis (BA).
  • Prepare end-user training guides and train the trainer prior to implementation.
  • Perform post-implementation verification and follow-up on production issues and their fixes before project closure.
  • Represent the team at various project meetings and suggest improvements (tech/process) to elevate testing standards.
  • Embrace change and act as a change agent for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Follow internal testing frameworks and documentation processes under the Target Operating Model as set by the Development Support Team. Organize and implement team engagement activities to foster team spirit.
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor to meet business requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • A recognized tertiary Bachelor's Degree qualification.
  • Experience in the insurance industry is an advantage.
  • Fluent in spoken English and Chinese. Proficiency in Mandarin / Cantonese is an advantage. Passing SPM Chinese subject is a must.
  • Self-motivated and proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Good commitment, attitude, and willingness to learn.
  • Able to adapt to a desk-bound working environment, work shifts including weekends on a rotation basis, and work overtime beyond normal hours (including weekends and public holidays).
  • The role requires following the Hong Kong working calendar.
