Qualifications

• Ability to follow directions with or without supervision.
• Willingness to learn and understand medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist with toe nail trims and ear cleanings.
• Perform grooming tasks and clean surgical equipment.
• Maintain cleaning supply inventory and assist clients.

Skills

Ability to follow directions

Ability to lift objects or pets of at least 15kg

Ability to recognize certain behaviors in animals

Willingness to learn medical terminology

Education

Diploma in a relevant field

Job description

Assist with toe nail trims and ear cleanings.

Perform grooming tasks.

Clean surgical equipment.

Refill or replenish drugs, pet foods, and consumables.

Maintain cleaning supply inventory.

Have knowledge of contagious diseases and isolation protocols.

Assist in preparing food, medicating, and providing necessary veterinary nursing care for in-patients.

Always maintain a high standard of patient care and assist assistants, technicians, and doctors as needed.

Thoroughly clean and disinfect cages and common areas.

Maintain and upkeep feeding utensils.

Maintain filing and charts; keep appropriate records using the computer system (Kreloses); assist with filling prescriptions under technician guidance.

Assist clients with multiple pets or large purchases.

Requirements:

• Diploma in a relevant field (non-diploma holders may apply).
• Ability to follow directions with or without supervision.
• Ability to lift objects or pets of at least 15kg.
• Ability to recognize certain behaviors in animals.
• Willingness to learn and understand medical terminology and minor procedures.

Operation hours: 10 am to 7 pm, 6 days a week.
