Job Descriptions
Employee Relations
  • Develop employee and industrial relations frameworks and tactical approaches to drive proactive employee and industrial relations.
  • Establish communication channels and ensure their effectiveness and efficiency across the company.
  • Enforce disciplinary policies in compliance with legislation.
  • Investigate reported misconduct and resolve employee grievances. Act as an internal trainer by developing training modules and presentation materials to raise awareness of disciplinary policies.
  • Maintain close relationships with internal and external groups, such as employees and manpower vendors.
Trade Unions
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and trade unions.
  • Facilitate and participate in collective bargaining negotiations.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with union representatives.
  • Address and resolve union-related grievances and disputes.
Others
  • Assist in conducting human resource audits and surveys, and prepare reports with recommendations on HR-related issues and employee motivation.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee relations cases, union activities, compliance with RBA standards, and HR reports, including expenses and budgets.
  • Support the HR Manager with ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Handle sensitive information securely and responsibly.
  • Develop and update HR policies and procedures related to industrial relations, trade unions, and employee relations.
  • Promote awareness of labor laws, employee rights, and RBA standards within the organization.
  • Ensure systematic documentation and secure filing of all relevant HR documents.
  • Read and adhere to the Information Security Policy and related guidelines.
  • Implement good workplace practices in compliance with the Information Security Policy.
Job Requirements

Qualifications: Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum of 5-6 years in human resources, focusing on industrial relations, trade unions, and employee relations. Knowledge of RBA standards is an advantage.

Skills: Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, in-depth knowledge of employment laws (Employment Act 1955 & Industrial Relations Act 1967), familiarity with RBA standards and ethical labor practices, discretion in handling sensitive information, proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Language: Bilingual in English and Malay, with superior communication and customer service skills.
