Marketing & Communications Writer (Exec) – Asia Pacific (6 months)

The successful candidate will support various marketing & communications initiatives to help the company's expansion goals within the region and globally. Responsibilities include writing, proofreading, and integrating content with design, such as sector/country-focused brand valuation reports, thought leadership articles, press releases, advertising copy, and social media content.

The ideal candidate has experience in strategic communications and marketing, focusing on editorial tasks like content creation and editing, public/media relations, publicity engagements, production scheduling, and quality control of key deliverables to ensure quality, relevance, and impact.

This role involves collaborating with international teams, guiding team members in marketing and communication tasks in compliance with standards and requirements.

The candidate will also support broader strategic initiatives, including planning and executing company events and completing assigned tasks efficiently.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

Diploma/degree in Mass Communications, Advertising, Linguistics, or Marketing with at least 3 years of relevant experience supported by a portfolio of work in public relations, corporate communications, business reports, articles, and press releases.

Ability to work independently, adapt to remote environments, and lead a team of writers/content contributors.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with content management systems like WordPress.

Skill in creating brand-centric content, combining design and copy, and repurposing content for different audiences.

Understanding of media relations, publicity pitching, and reviewing digital and print materials during pre-production.

Self-motivated with minimal supervision, capable of guiding team members, and collaborating with international teams.

Strong multitasking and time management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, professional, meticulous, and proactive.

Malaysian citizenship or residency.
