Ensuring through the workforce under his/her control, that the quality of workmanship in the final product is accomplished to the highest standards of airworthiness, a standard acceptable to our client and the relevant Authorities.
Ensuring all regulatory responsibilities are being followed as per the EASA, CAAM, and DGTA requirements.
Responsible for the development of new CAMO software, including uploading the approval of the Aircraft Approved Maintenance Programme (OMP), and ensuring scheduled maintenance is timely planned and its performance monitored in accordance with the Approved Maintenance Programme (OMP).
Ensure the CAMO software has the capability to plan all maintenance tasks with reference to the constraints of the approved maintenance program, including component replacement, airworthiness and operational directives, service bulletins (SB), deferred defects, and monitoring of modifications and repairs.
Take into account the forecast and application of Airworthiness Directive (AD)/Service Bulletin (SB)/Advance Service Bulletin (ASB) for the new CAMO software.
Ensure the system can trigger the mandatory documents (AD, SB) to be embodied within the compliance period.
Ensure the software can carry out aircraft records, and that technical documents/data are adequately maintained and controlled.
Ensure the software can monitor the implementation of timely corrective actions resulting from quality assurance audits.
The software should be capable of coordinating the deferral and rescheduling of maintenance tasks within the approved time limits (Minimum Equipment List).
Perform any tasks assigned by the Head of Department.
Chief of Airworthiness in DOA:
Liaise and submit to CAAM/DGTA for DOA approval.
Perform duties as prescribed in the CAAM/DGTA approved Design Office Handbook.
Act as the primary interface with the CAAM/DGTA DOA Team Leader and advise on all airworthiness matters.
Serve as a deputy to the Head of Design.
As required, draft Design Change Compliance Documents.
Produce System Safety and Environmental Control System design/analysis reports as required.
Participate in or organize Pre-Design Change Aircraft Surveys as required.
Support commercial proposals.
Act as a technical checker/approver of electrical engineering drawings and accomplishment instructions.
Liaise with avionic/electrical and mechanical/structures engineering staff for cross-discipline project coordination.
Assist in project management to meet schedules and budgets, providing regular updates and reports.
Liaise with Compliance Verification Engineers (Structures, Interior, and Avionics) as per DOA procedures.
Perform any tasks assigned by the Head of Department.
Experience & Skills:
Minimum 5 years experience in Airworthiness and CAMO within the aviation or MRO industry.
Familiarity with CAMO and maintenance planning software/tools (e.g., AMOS, TRAX, OASES).
Deep understanding of aircraft systems, maintenance processes, and regulations.
Knowledge of airworthiness directives, SBs, and maintenance programs.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Understanding of Part 21, Part M & Part 145, and EASA regulations.
Strong technical background in CAMO domain.
Leadership skills for stakeholder coordination and project management.
Proven track record in project development and delivery.
Experience in managing project budgets and using project management tools.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Meticulous, proactive, and capable of leading teams and vendors.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
