Highlands International Boarding School in Bentong, Malaysia is seeking an Economics teacher to deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IGCSE syllabus. You will plan, prepare and assess work reflecting the scheme of work under the Head of Department's guidance.

Responsibilities include marking, providing guidance on studies and careers, maintaining discipline, reporting on each student each term and helping students prepare for external examinations with additional support workshops.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and prepare courses and lessons reflecting the scheme of work
• Teach according to students' educational needs, including setting and marking work (IGCSE syllabus)
• Implement fully the marking and assessment according to IGCSE syllabus (Economics)
• Provide students with guidance on educational and social matters relating to their studies and future careers
• Maintain good order and discipline with your students both inside and outside the classroom
• Provide a detailed report on each student each term
• Participate in arrangements for preparing students for their external examinations including marking and conducting additional support workshops
• Participate in any arrangements for further training and professional development
• Review methods of teaching and programmes of work
• Keep all teacher materials up-to date
• Work closely with the Head of Department and assist with the preparation, introduction and delivery of new courses and schemes of work
• Take good care of your teaching space and all teaching materials provided by the school
• Set work for your classes if you are away from school for any reason
• Participate in supervisory duties or sporting activities during the afternoons
• Dress appropriately at all times
• Carry out general duties and responsibilities as deemed reasonable requested by the school management
