Economics, Business and Accounting Teacher

Tes is supporting the appointment of a Economics, Business and Accounting Teacher to join a school based in Malaysia.

Job Overview The successful candidate will have experience teaching Economics, preferably with Business Studies or Accounting (or any two combination of subjects mentioned), throughout KS4 to A-Level.

For experienced candidates, there is a potential opportunity to be appointed as the Head of Department.

Opportunities for career development exist, where the College actively supports Professional Development for all staff.

All staff are expected to play a whole part in the boarding and co-curricular life of the College, involving regular evening and weekend duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Economics lessons to KS4 and KS5 students, following the CIE IGCSE and A-Level syllabus.
  • Inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and a genuine love for Economics in a stimulating classroom environment.
  • Prepare students for external examinations, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
  • Track and assess students' progress, providing regular feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to curriculum development.
  • Participate fully in the wider academic, co-curricular, and pastoral life of the College.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree either in Economics, Business Studies, Accounting or a related discipline is required; a postgraduate teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) is preferred.
