Job description

About the Client

Our client is a Malaysia-based industrial automation and power systems provider with operations across Asia, including Thailand, Singapore, and China. They specialize in process control, explosion-proof (Ex) solar PV systems, and power distribution solutions, primarily serving the oil & gas, edible oils, and food manufacturing sectors. Their extensive export reach spans over 24 countries across the Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa, and Europe regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales initiatives for the company’s products and services within the Process Control Industry, Oils & Fats Industry, Oil & Gas, and Petrochemical sectors.
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through effective prospecting and lead generation.
  • Providing sales support to the team, including preparing sales proposals, managing customer relationships, and closing deals.
  • Assisting with the development and execution of sales plans and strategies to meet and exceed targets.
  • Monitoring and analyzing sales performance data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Mentoring and supporting more junior members of the sales team.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry developments, market trends, and competitor activity.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Degree in Electrical / Control Systems / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field , preferably within the energy/oil & gas or a related industry.
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a customer-centric approach.
