Location: Mid Valley, Kuala Lumpur
Salary: RM7,000 - RM10,000 + Statutory Contributions + Medical Coverage
Work Arrangement: Hybrid | Normal Office Hours
We’re looking for a Regional Data Protection Analyst to safeguard our organization’s sensitive data across platforms and regions (SEA, JP & CN). You will develop and implement data protection strategies, manage tools like DLP and classification systems, and ensure full compliance with internal and external regulations.
What You’ll Be DoingDesign and implement end-to-end data protection strategies
Manage and optimize Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and data classification tools
Collaborate with IT, Legal, and HR teams on data governance initiatives
Monitor data activities for breaches and unauthorized access
Stay ahead of emerging threats and update protection measures accordingly
Ensure compliance with global data privacy laws and internal policies
Lead data protection training and awareness efforts
Act as a trusted advisor on data privacy and compliance matters
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, or related field
5 years’ experience in cybersecurity or program delivery roles
Proven expertise in data protection, privacy, or compliance
Familiar with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, PDPA)
Analytical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
Certifications like CISSP, CISM are a plus
Comfortable engaging business stakeholders in a multinational environment
Independent, proactive, and a strong team collaborator
Able to communicate in Mandarin is an added advantage as China is strict with data leaks.
