1. Senior Account Executive / 2. Account Receivable Executive

We are hiring for two key positions within our Finance Department. Whether you're a seasoned finance professional or someone with foundational accounting experience, we invite you to explore the following opportunities:

Senior Account Executive – RM 5,000 – RM 7,000 (depending on experience)

A. Responsibilities

  1. Maintain full set accounts, perform month-end closing activities, and prepare financial analysis (including budgets and cash flow forecasts) for timely submission to management.
  2. Conduct financial statements variance analysis and provide insights and recommendations to support business planning and decision-making.
  3. Manage bank and collection reconciliations, fixed asset register, and other accounting schedules promptly.
  4. Verify the accuracy and sufficiency of documents from vendors.
  5. Oversee and manage daily financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
  6. Ensure financial statements, transactions, and systems adhere to company policies, accounting standards, and tax regulations.
  7. Liaise with company secretary, auditors, tax agents, and government authorities for audit and compliance matters.
  8. Identify and implement changes in internal financial controls and procedures as needed.
  9. Provide guidance to junior finance staff to ensure continuous development and efficiency.
  10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting.
  11. Participate in year-end stocktake at retail outlets and headquarters.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

B. Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent qualification.
  2. Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA are preferred.
  3. 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting, preferably in retail industry.
  4. Experience in financial system implementation and process improvement.
  5. Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and reconciliation.
  6. Ability to work independently and in teams to meet deadlines.
  7. Self-motivated, adaptable, and proactive.
  8. Strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation, and regulations.
  9. Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  11. Proficiency in MS Office tools.
  12. Languages: English, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin speaking preferred).
  13. Audit experience at a global public accounting firm is an advantage.
Account Receivable Executive – RM 3,500 – RM 4,500 (depending on experience)

A. Responsibilities

  1. Match daily sales reports from POS system against receipts for timely collection.
  2. Download merchant statements, verify against POS system, and post transactions into the accounting system.
  3. Reconcile merchant accounts.
  4. Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables and aging reports.
  5. Monitor daily cash collections and ensure timely bank deposits.
  6. Maintain payment methods within POS system.
  7. Issue credit notes and generate sales invoices.
  8. Process customer refunds and staff purchase invoices.
  9. Ensure accurate and timely posting of entries.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

B. Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.
  2. 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in retail industry.
  3. Understanding of revenue cycle and proactive approach.
  4. Ability to meet deadlines and handle high-volume activities.
  5. Communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Proficiency in MS Office tools.
  7. Languages: English, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia (preferred).
