An established industry player is seeking a dynamic Manager-Projects to lead and oversee construction projects in Sungai Petani, Kedah. This role involves providing leadership, managing project phases, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in civil, mechanical, or architectural engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management. Provide leadership, motivation, guidance, and implement key decisions regarding the Subsidiary’s project development in accordance with approved budgets and business plans.
Enhance the quantitative and qualitative outputs and services, and improve products, markets, and customer base.
Attend consultant meetings, site meetings, and meetings with authorities, representing the interests of the Subsidiary.
Coordinate with the Head Quarter (HQ) on finance & administration, sales & marketing, human resources, projects, and other subsidiary matters.
Pre-qualify, recommend, and shortlist contractors for project tenders, and advise the tender committees on contract approvals.
Ensure proper planning of each project phase, oversee project management, supervise construction, and meet deadlines, budgets, and delivery schedules.
Create value through engineering innovations to enhance performance and profitability.
Liaise with authorities, consultants, contractors, and others involved in developmental projects.
Manage and supervise staff to ensure effective implementation of duties.
Prepare weekly updates, monthly management reports, EXCO reports, and BOD presentations.
Replenish land bank via feasibility studies and new business ventures to boost subsidiary performance and profitability.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Architecture Engineering; Professional Engineer (PE) qualification from BEM or equivalent is an advantage.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in planning, developing, and managing construction projects.
Familiar with latest construction methods, materials, and procedures, including landed, high-rise residential, township, and commercial developments.
Ability to lead and manage all aspects of the subsidiary, including project management, finance, administration, sales, marketing, HR, and liaising with authorities.
Articulate, confident, resourceful, innovative, detail-oriented, and committed to high quality standards.
Strong business acumen and team leadership skills to achieve targets.
Willing to work in Sungai Petani, Kedah.
