Job Responsibilities:

1. Assist senior accountant in day-to-day tasks.
2. Be responsible for monthly closing of accounts with relevant supporting schedules in an accurate and timely manner.
3. Supervise, track, and evaluate day-to-day activities.
4. Clear back-end processing systems (e.g., Receipt Bank, Expensify, etc.) to ensure all transactions are uploaded to the accounting system.
5. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
6. Collaborate with colleagues and other team members, such as showroom staff, to ensure smooth operations.
7. Prepare journals, bank reconciliations, and financial statements.
8. Coordinate year-end financial closing and assist in tax planning, cash management, and treasury operations.
9. Liaise with bankers, auditors, tax agents, and relevant authorities.
10. Support and participate in ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
11. Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing gold items, updating inventory as needed.

Work Shift: Willing to work either Sunday - Thursday shift or Tuesday to Saturday shift. (shift is flexible depending on roster). Strictly 5 days a week.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related fields.
• At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Good technical knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations.
• Ability to work in a team and demonstrate responsibility.
• Analytical, resourceful, organized, meticulous, responsible, with excellent problem-solving skills and commitment to deadlines.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office and accounting software.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Malay.
