Job summary

A leading manufacturer in Pontian is seeking a skilled Material Planner to manage product transfers, inventory, and purchasing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in material management, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency in ERP systems. This role requires effective communication with teams in China/Taiwan and a focus on maintaining data accuracy. Candidates with Mandarin skills are preferred.

Job Description

Manage new product transfer from HQ, including CBOM review, materials and build readiness, liaise with account holder, engineering, and PMC team.

Review the Margin Report monthly, and propose or execute actions if abnormalities are found.

Track production volume, monitor customer demand patterns, and purchasing trends.

Manage warehouse inventory issues, including receiving variance, warehouse location, and disposal of non-moving items.

Prepare cost estimates and performance reports.

Review MM (material master) checklist and maintain data accuracy in the ERP system.

Review invalid RMAs and prepare rework costs.

Liaise with counterparts in China/Taiwan regarding ERP system issues.

Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or related roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and material management systems.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration, Logistics, Inventory Management, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of ERP or SAP systems.
  • Experience in customer PO processing, work order issuance, and liaising with HQ/account holders on delivery schedules.
  • Experience using MRP systems and in manufacturing environments is preferred.
  • Good analytical and communication skills.
  • Mandarin speaking skills are an advantage; candidates serving Mandarin-speaking customers are preferred.
  • Willing to work in Pontian.
