Assistant Manager, Health Safety Environment (HSE)

As an Assistant Manager, HSE, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of our workforce and maintaining compliance with HSE standards on-site. You will build relationships with cross-functional teams and customers to meet requirements, provide solutions, and support the development of your team for continuous HSE improvement.

Your responsibilities include managing multiple manufacturing facilities, providing day-to-day EHS support at manufacturing sites, and handling departmental work guided by established procedures. Exceptional cases will be resolved by selecting the appropriate procedures.

You will coordinate facility cleaning services, ensure compliance with ISO/QSR, NOM, environmental, and municipal requirements, and oversee site selection and T/I projects. Additionally, you will manage building maintenance programs, ensure the availability of facility services, coordinate building expansion projects, and oversee forklift and warehouse equipment maintenance.

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Environmental Health & Safety.
  • Experience in facilities management across multiple locations and expansion projects.
  • Training in safety regulations, leadership, and insurer regulations.
  • Proficiency in English, both oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the healthcare industry is strongly encouraged.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office are a plus.
Education

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field.
