Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a skilled ID Draughtsman to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing detailed 2D and 3D drawings for various interior design projects, collaborating closely with architects and clients to address design challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD and 3ds Max, along with excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin. Job description

Job Responsibilities:

1. Prepare 2D and 3D drawings for submission, fabrication, and installation for all ID works including lighting, M&E, FFE, and building façade works—from sketching conceptual designs to preparing shop drawings, fabrication drawings, modeling assembly drawings, and submitting as-built drawings.
2. Prepare all technical drawings for preliminary, tender, construction, shop, and as-built phases.
3. Create material sample boards and related documents for approval submissions.
4. Follow up on outstanding works and resolve issues proactively.
5. Collaborate with architects, consultants, and clients on design issues.
6. Assist the project team and perform any other duties as directed.
7. Produce documentation, specifications, and as-built drawings.
8. Be willing to visit sites when necessary.
9. Liaise with clients, vendors, consultants, specialists, internal departments, and other stakeholders to ensure duties are fulfilled.
10. Ensure delivery commitments are met for each project.
11. Perform other duties as assigned by superiors.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 3 years’ experience as an ID Draughtsman.
2. Possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, CAD Drafting, or equivalent.
3. Required skills: AutoCAD, 3ds Max, Photoshop, Microsoft Office.
4. Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
5. Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
6. Effective communication and collaboration skills.
7. Ability to work well within a team.
8. Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia to liaise effectively with English and Mandarin-speaking counterparts.
