Procurement Clerk (Electrical Engineering) Taman Tunku, Miri

As a Procurement Clerk (Electrical Engineering), you will play a crucial role in sourcing electrical engineering materials and equipment. This is a full-time position, based in Taman Tunku, Miri, Sarawak.

It entails working closely with the engineering team to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of project requirements.

What you'll be doing
  1. Identifying, evaluating, and selecting reliable suppliers for electrical and mechanical engineering materials and equipment.
  2. Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers to secure the best possible terms and conditions.
  3. Tracking the procurement process to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to budgets.
  4. Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to all procurement activities.
  5. Collaborating with the engineering team to understand project requirements and specifications.
  6. Continuously seeking opportunities to optimize procurement processes and reduce costs.
  7. Providing regular updates and reports to management on the status of procurement activities.
What we're looking for
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a procurement or supply chain role, preferably in the electrical or mechanical engineering industry.
  • Working experience with palm oil mills would be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, including sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with suppliers, customers, and team members.
  • Proficient in the use of procurement software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills to ensure targets and deadlines are met.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to work well in a team and under pressure, and handle challenging tasks.
  • Possession of a Driving License Class D.
