Overview

The Java Developer is responsible for application maintenance, development, implementation, and support for Java applications and all related interfaces with downstream systems. This role reports to the Java Developer Team Lead.

Candidates who wish to apply their technical knowledge and further their experience within the banking industry are invited to apply for this role.

Key responsibilities

1. Participate in user requirement study/analysis and systems design.
2. Plan, coordinate, and execute application development, implementation, and production support activities.
3. Assist users in understanding and interpreting user requirements, coordinate with relevant parties in business specifications gathering and documentation, and liaise with other SME teams in technical solution development.

Jobholder Requirements

Education/Qualifications

• Malaysian citizen
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology

Experience & Skillset

• More than 2 years of experience in software development
• Experience developing applications using Java (J2EE) components
• Experience working with and administering WebSphere applications in Unix (AIX)
• Experience with databases like IBM DB2 or Oracle
• Exposure to the financial institution industry is an advantage
