Job Summary

The primary objective of the Analyst is to provide day-to-day servicing and administration of an assigned group of Syndicated facilities for which Royal Bank of Canada is the Agent, including related loan drawings, fees, interest schedules, and settlement of secondary assignments.

Job Description

Working Hours: 9AM-6PM

1. Process secondary assignments, and where required, primary assignments, upon requests for assigned Borrowers in accordance with established guidelines.
2. Monitor daily Settlement Date Coordination (SDC) Report for open trades and update the status of all tickets, entering comments reflecting current settlement status in ClearPar.
3. Review trades to verify Buyer status on the DQ list, lender of record, or affiliate of a lender, and initiate consent process if required.
4. Verify Seller has sufficient inventory position or will have it by settling trades on the same or prior settlement date.
5. Review Affiliate Letters and sub-allocations for minimum hold/purchase requirements per the credit agreement.
6. Select a settlement date not later than T+7, considering delays due to consents, KYC, or holds.
7. Coordinate execution of the Assignment and Assumptions agreement and determine the Effective date in ClearPar.
8. Record lenders' positions on ACBS on the Settlement Date as trades become effective.
9. Act as verification officer for ACBS two-touch transactions created by other Analysts.
10. Post-closing, action primary assignments ensuring DQ lists are current.
11. Ensure all transactions comply with KYC, AML, OFAC, FinCen, USA Patriot Act, and other sanctions.
12. Meet or exceed service delivery standards in quality and timeliness.
13. Identify operational gaps and recommend process improvements to mitigate risks.
14. Evaluate IT developments and business requirements, recommending system enhancements.
15. Contribute during development and implementation of systems, defining scope and objectives.
16. Oversee Secondary Syndicated Loan Processes, including data analysis, external dealings, and escalation management.
17. Provide backup support to other Analysts and assist in workload management and training of new analysts.
