What is the opportunity?

Our client is a specialist provider of asset services, custody, payments, and treasury services. Founded in 1864, they are the 10th largest bank worldwide and the 5th in North America, as measured by market capitalization. They are recognized globally for their financial strength, market leadership, and philanthropic work.

They have a processing centre supporting 10 countries across three time zones, employing a Global Operating Model to maximize efficiencies and support a 24/5 operational capability. The objectives for Malaysia include enhancing scalability, improving service quality via centres of excellence, and implementing standardized processes globally.

What will you do?

  • Support the Global Markets Supervision team by assisting in execution of supervisory requirements across governance, reporting, documentation, and strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in administrative tasks related to the strategic vision of Global Markets Supervision.
  • Maintain supervisory frameworks across all business lines and regions.
  • Administer and maintain new processes, solutions, and controls within Global Markets Supervision.
  • Prepare materials for monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports to senior management, committees, and regulators.
  • Conduct regular and ad hoc reviews as required.
  • Collaborate with Electronic Trading supervision and technology teams to understand trade flow controls.
  • Assess the effectiveness of automated controls in trade flows.
  • Understand and assist in maintaining the Electronic Trading control inventory based on the Trading Algorithm Management Standard.
  • Review and ensure compliance with firm policies applicable to business activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues across jurisdictions, front office, and stakeholders to support the business.

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a Global Markets environment or equivalent in consulting/advisory
  • Understanding of financial markets and security asset classes
  • Experience with large datasets and driving business outcomes
  • Regulatory and policy implementation experience
