Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Manage payroll for multiple APAC countries including Malaysia, ensuring timely and accurate processing on a monthly or semi-monthly basis.
  2. Maintain and operate Payroll Systems (ADP Celergo and Flex) and Time Attendance Systems (iTAS).
  3. Ensure timely statutory payroll deductions payments to relevant authorities in each country.
  4. Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements, accounting standards, procedures, and corporate policies.
  5. Provide payroll analysis for management decision-making.
  6. Generate monthly payroll-related data and cash forecasts.
  7. Participate in monthly accounting closing activities.
  8. Prepare annual Tax Schedule submissions.
  9. Assist in internal and external audit activities.
  10. Maintain payroll records for audits and statutory purposes.
  11. Troubleshoot employee requests related to time attendance records.
  12. Liaise with IT for testing new or modified payroll and attendance system features.
  13. Update systems to accommodate changes in compensation plans affecting payroll and cost reporting.
  14. Analyze payroll expenses to support management decisions.
  15. Respond to government surveys related to payroll.
  16. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business Studies/Administration/Management, or related field.
  2. Good interpersonal skills.
  3. Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
  4. Excellent math skills with attention to numerical accuracy.
  5. Ability to work independently, be resourceful, and responsible.
  6. Comfortable working in a visible role and independently.
  7. Knowledge of statutory requirements and related legislation.
  8. Disciplined, resourceful, and able to work under pressure within tight deadlines.
  9. Ability to handle multiple tasks with limited supervision.
  10. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  11. Knowledge of payroll, HR, or Time Attendance systems such as ADP Celergo, Flex, or Workday.

Preferred:

  1. Experience with global payroll processes.
  2. Familiarity with ADP payroll and Workday systems.

Skills

  1. Proficiency in Excel, including formulas and VBA.
  2. Effective communication skills in English for interacting with multiple countries.
  3. Project management skills, especially related to payroll system or policy changes.
