Job description

Senior Quantity Surveyor/Quantity Surveyor

• Preparation of tender documents for tender exercises
• Attend tender interviews
• Handle and lead pre- and post-contract activities
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities
• Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance projects
• Assist in establishing client requirements and conducting feasibility studies
• Perform risk, value management, and cost control
• Prepare and analyze costing for tenders
• Allocate work to subcontractors
• Prepare Letters of Award to subcontractors
• Provide advice on contractual claims
• Prepare and verify claims
• Develop project costing and budgeting
• Prepare Variation Orders, Construction Budgets, and Final Accounts
• Conduct internal audits for site materials and works
• Analyze outcomes and write detailed progress reports
• Maintain awareness of current building contracts
• Perform other QS-related tasks such as take-offs, BQ preparation, tendering, claims, negotiations, and planning
• Undertake additional tasks as required by management

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• Required languages: Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin (an advantage)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction field
• Preferably a Senior Executive specializing in Quantity Surveying or related field
• Own vehicle and willing to travel as necessary
• Knowledge of project tendering and contract management
• Willing to work in Pulau Pinang
