What your typical day will look like:

As the Payroll Specialist, you will assist in all aspects of the monthly payroll processing for Malaysia and Taiwan.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processes, including monthly payroll execution, payment file submission, and handling employee benefits and tax code reviews.

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of employee lifecycle events such as new hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, and temporary workers.

  • Handle leaver processing and ensure all final deductions are accurately captured in the payroll system.

  • Act as the first point of contact for payroll and tax-related employee queries, managing tickets through the Ask HR platform.

A bit about you:

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or any related field.

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience, ideally within an HR Shared Services environment.

  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, labor laws, taxation, and statutory compliance in APAC, particularly in Malaysia and Taiwan.

  • Proficiency in Mandarin is necessary to support payroll processing and communication for Taiwan, a Mandarin-speaking market.
