Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to oversee and manage the financial operations of our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, statutory compliance, and maintaining strong internal controls. This role requires close coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations and compliance with all relevant regulations.

  1. Review financial reports prepared by the finance team to ensure accuracy and timely submission to Head Office (HQ).
  2. Participate with the President in financial planning for the long-term viability and growth of RKL, setting goals, monitoring performance, and communicating the financial plan to internal stakeholders.
  3. Prepare monthly cash flow projections and revise annual tax estimations as needed.
  4. Update MREL marketing and budgeting figures in coordination with relevant departments.
  5. Ensure accurate and timely submission of the company's yearly tax return.
  6. Oversee the year-end statutory audit process, and manage the submission of annual returns and other corporate matters with the company secretary.
  7. Verify Purchase Orders (POs), Payment Vouchers (PVs), and Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs) prior to submission for approvals.
  8. Review and verify payroll reports before submission for approval.
  9. Act as the key point of contact for bankers, external auditors, tax agents, the company secretary, and relevant government authorities.
  10. Maintain robust internal control systems, uphold financial reporting standards, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  11. Manage and report on the financials of related dormant companies.
  12. Perform other finance-related tasks as required during working hours.
Qualifications & Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is preferred.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar financial management role, preferably in the education industry.
  3. Strong understanding of financial regulations, reporting standards, and internal control systems.
  4. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  5. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
