Job description

Consult and provide technical concepts/ideas for new automation equipment within your area of expertise to drive high effectiveness and efficiency.

Identify opportunity areas that can lead to significant improvements in business cases, focusing on automation in operations, processes, or other company needs.

Provide technical knowledge in controls, sensor technologies, and inspection systems used in developing and implementing automated manufacturing lines. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align on requirements, improvements, needs, costs, and capacity initiatives that meet transfer targets.

Work with other departments to realize their automation needs, supporting specific projects, developing preliminary plans, or leading entire projects.

Set up, test, commission systems, and monitor automated workflows to ensure optimal business process performance with minimal errors.

Implement and oversee sensors, actuators, robotics, and other automation technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities and productivity.

Design, develop, and implement robotics automation solutions aimed at improving efficiency and productivity.

Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements and standardization across the company.

Provide technical expertise and oversee resolution of issues related to controls, machine vision, servo systems, and sensor technologies in automated manufacturing and testing equipment.

Manage plant-wide automation equipment development, including vision, motion, and robot programming.

Build process equipment and automation solutions from concept through realization.

Manage multiple automation projects simultaneously.

Specific Responsibilities & Authority:

  • Develop an in-house automation team.
  • Recruit automation team members.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Manage the in-house automation team.
  • Ensure continuous operation of automation cells.
  • Liaise with vendors for automation components and software support.
  • Stay updated on industrial automation through learning and seminars.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechatronics or at least 5 years of relevant experience in robotic automation.
