We are seeking a Platform Engineer to join our tech team in Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, or remotely across Germany. 1KOMMA5° is creating Germany's largest one-stop-shop for solar panels, heat pumps, electricity solutions, and charging infrastructure, all interconnected. About 1KOMMA5°

We build software systems in two main areas:

• Heartbeat: Developing a virtual power plant leveraging our energy manager “Heartbeat” and enhancing the customer experience app.
• Operating System for installation companies: Digitising operations from planning to installation and configuration.

Position Overview

As a Platform Engineer, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify and solve technical challenges, improve our internal developer platform, and enable efficient development. Success will be measured using DORA metrics.

• Develop software and systems for platform infrastructure and applications
• Provide operational support and infrastructure expertise to engineering teams

Candidate Profile

• 4+ years in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability, or Cloud Engineering
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and container infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Proficiency in Python, GoLang, or TypeScript
• Proactive problem-solving skills
• Customer-centric mindset and team-oriented attitude
• Fluent in English; German is a plus
• Residency in Germany
• Interest in climate tech

Bonus points for prior IoT experience and scale-up environment experience.
