As part of their continued growth, they are looking for a skilled Head of Procurement to lead and optimize their procurement operations, ensuring the highest levels of efficiency and performance.

Job Description

• Sourcing Strategy & Supplier Relationships: Develop and execute sourcing strategies, fostering strategic supplier alliances to achieve cost savings and meet annual targets.
• Procurement for New Facilities: Support the commissioning of new healthcare facilities by sourcing and procuring equipment, negotiating with vendors, and managing contracts.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics to identify opportunities for standardization, cost savings, and performance improvements across the procurement process.
• Competitive Bidding & Contract Management: Manage the competitive bidding process, ensuring compliance with internal policies, timely submissions, and adherence to protocols. Analyze proposals for market share and cost savings.
• Team Leadership & Process Improvement: Lead and develop a team of procurement staff, enhancing group policies, promoting standardization, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to ensure consistent service across all healthcare units.
  
  
  

The Successful Applicant

• Educational Background & Experience: Minimum Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement, preferably in the healthcare industry, and 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Team Leadership & Development: Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams, demonstrating the ability to build and nurture talent.
• Industry Expertise: Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management specific to the healthcare sectors, with extensive understanding of medical technologies and products.
• Supplier Negotiation & Stakeholder Management: Skilled in negotiating with suppliers and senior management, with a demonstrated ability to influence and drive outcomes in complex environments.
• Regulatory Knowledge & Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with regulations and accreditation standards (e.g., MSQH, ACHS, JCI), proficient in Microsoft Office and Hospital Information Systems, and capable of developing actionable implementation plans.
