Assess patients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing skills.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient goals.
- Provide therapy to patients with speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care.
- Educate patients and family members on treatment plans, home exercises, and strategies for improvement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care planning.
- Conduct therapy sessions individually or in group settings, as needed.
- Engage in continuous professional development and training to maintain best practices.
- Support hospital initiatives related to patient care, safety, and quality improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology / Speech Therapy from a recognized institution.
- Registered with the Malaysian Association of Speech-Language and Hearing (MASH) or other recognized professional bodies.
- Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience (new graduates are welcome to apply; training will be provided).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate, patient-centered, and proactive approach.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in additional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Tamil) is an advantage.
