About the role

This full-time Account Executive - GL role at Lotuss Stores (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to join a growing and dynamic retail company. As an Account Executive - GL, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the company's general ledger and supporting the overall financial operations of the business.

What you'll be doing
  1. Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
  2. Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable on a regular basis
  3. Prepare and analyse financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  4. Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes
  5. Provide support to the finance team in various accounting-related tasks
  6. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, policies, and procedures
What we're looking for
  • Relevant degree in Accounting or Finance
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in the retail industry
  • Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
