Job description

Head of Design & Build – Sewerage Treatment System

As the Head of Design & Build – Sewerage Treatment System, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, coordination, and implementation of STP projects in compliance with regulatory and client requirements. This role serves as the technical lead, ensuring timely delivery and quality assurance across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the design and engineering of new and upgrading Sewage Treatment Plants (STP) in accordance with MSIG guidelines and IWK standards.
2. Oversee the complete project lifecycle—from initial concept, authority submission, and site implementation to final handover.
3. Act as the primary liaison with IWK, clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure regulatory compliance and timely resolution of technical matters.
4. Collaborate closely with internal departments including project, sales, and operations to ensure alignment and progress.
5. Monitor project schedules, site activities, and deliverables to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely completion.
6. Provide strategic updates and performance reports to the company’s Director and senior management.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
2. Minimum 7–10 years of relevant experience in STP design and infrastructure project management.
3. Strong understanding of MSIG and IWK regulatory requirements.
4. Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and multiple projects.
5. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
