Being a solution architect in Digital Services

This role reports to the Development Support Manager (DSM), Ikano Retail.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive architecture of software solutions, providing technical & strategic direction from conception to implementation.
• Influence decisions across multiple levels and drive future architecture across legacy and new products.
• Secure digital development by adopting the solution development lifecycle and methodologies.
• Design, architect, and implement secure and scalable solutions, primarily connected to the Microsoft D365 suite.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams, product managers, internal stakeholders, and vendors to design digital products.
• Understand system architecture across the solution landscape thoroughly.
• Evaluate business and technical requirements to define appropriate architecture & technology stacks aligned with the enterprise environment.
• Recommend and design integration approaches by evaluating vendor solutions with internal solutions.
• Develop and document technical specifications, architectural blueprints, and configurations.
• Assess existing solutions and develop improvement strategies with a growth focus.
• Identify digital product development opportunities through product assessments and technology & business trend analysis.
• Stay updated on the latest Microsoft D365 BC, CRM, F&O technical changes and updates.
• Actively support the digital transformation journey.

Qualifications

To succeed as a solution architect, you should have a proven education in information technology, computer science, or equivalent, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in solution design, architecture, and integrations, including 3 years with cloud-hosted applications. Additionally, you should have:

• Proven experience working with Microsoft D365 Business Central, both on-premise and cloud.
• A track record of leading solution development from design to implementation, focusing on user/customer experience.
• Broad and deep understanding of coupling and decoupling digital solutions to minimize dependencies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft D365 suite of products, especially Business Central (BC), CRM, and F&O.
• Deep knowledge of typical integration patterns (APIs, web services, etc.).

Experience in software development within Microsoft D365 solutions is a plus.
